My fast ended at 2 PM this afternoon. Finally I could eat although to my surprise it did not replenish my body as fast as I had suspected it to. After two meals and five hours I am beginning to see signs of replenishment in my body. Finally the headache is beginning to subside and I will be able to concentrate on something besides my hunger. I believe that I now have a better understanding of how hungry people around the world feel, although I know I will never know to the same extent that others have come to face on a daily basis. I believe that everyone should do a 24 hour fast at some point in their life just to have a better understanding of why we should help those in need of food around our country. In my opinion this challenge was extremely eye opening and refreshing at the same time.

Charles,
ReplyDeleteIt is refreshing to see a fellow classmate having the same outlook on this experience. If you don't mind me asking, what was your first meal after the fast was over?
Conner
It was Chinese, more specifically General Tso's chicken.
DeleteMy experience was similar to yours when I finally ate. I did not instantly feel better the way I thought I would it took an hour or two before I finally started to feel normal again.
