11 hours and 30 mins into the fast! Feeling hungry. Pt. 2

Right now I am feeling extremely hungry and am getting uneasy feelings in my stomach because it wants food. I love breakfast more than any other meal and not eating this morning is causing me to feel lazy and worthless in classes but maybe its just psychological. It also didn't help that we talked about food all throughout class this morning, which didn't help much either. I drink a lot of water anyways so just only consuming that for the last 12 hours is not a big deal as far staying hydrated goes. If I get desperate I suppose I can us my imagination and pretend to be washing down a juicy burger or steak. The guy next to me just started chomping away on an apple and I must say I don't eat a lot of fruit like I should but the apple is sounding better and better every bite.

Truthfully, I don't feel all that bad and I think I have it in me to hold off for the rest of the fast. I may seem more hungry than usual just because I can't have  a meal and you always want what you can't have. It probably will hit me like a ton of bricks when I don't participate in pint night tonight but in the long run my liver will thank me, its just one night. But missing the pizza will mostly likely have to be the meal I indulge on at Midnight once this is over. If I could fast once a week I could save a lot of money especially when I have to pay for two meals when my girlfriend and I eat. Might have to take that into consideration!

One half down, another half to go...

  1. I agree with what you said feeling lazy and worthless without food. When we expend energy our body automatically tells us that we need to replenish the lost energy with some sort of food. I have found out that water will curb the appetite, but not completely. The main thing is to keep hydrated and give your body something to work with. It's crazy to think that people are forced to do this more than just one time like we are. I don't think my mental/physical capabilities would be near where they were today if I didn't have ongoing access to some sort of food for energy. Don't worry, as you know, pint night is every Wednesday. Make up for next week.
