While considering all 3 alternatives I came to the conclusion that if I did either options 1 or 2 I would be tempted to cheat and eat more than I am allowed. Once I start eating I find that it is hard to stop and I would most likely eat till I was full so I decided to do the 24 hour fast. I have tried to fast a few times in the past as an experiment but always gave in and the meal I most likely ate was fast food, which wasn't the best idea. It just goes to show that we take for granted the ability to eat on more than $2 a day even if we aren't that hungry. Over a billion people across the world would do anything for the chance to eat till they were full or even fast food even if it may be bad for you. After researching 30hourfamine.org I found that fasting is actually a good way to raise the awareness of poverty across the world and many people unite together to do the famine. Those people who try to raise awareness deserve a lot of credit because I can already tell that this fasting is going to be a challenge but I am determined to succeed. I might have to get a snack in before the clock strikes 12, I'll be up for a while anyways doing homework so I guess it wouldn't hurt.
It is currently 11:30 and even thinking about this hunger challenge is making my stomach growl. I was telling a friend of mine that I was doing this hunger challenge and that I couldn't attend pint night tomorrow evening and devour pizza with him so he said it was probably a good thing and that I could afford to lose a little weight but what does he know. Good luck to everyone.
