15 Hours Into The Fast.
I am over half way to the finish line and wishing I would have done this challenge when the weather was still friendly outside. The worst part about this challenge are the hunger pains. I tried to plan this challenge so that I could begin it by sleeping, but by about 3 am I was awake and craving food. Now that it is lunch time the hunger pains are getting much worse. If I can keep myself busy and keep my mind off of the hunger it will help. Just from experiencing what I have experienced the past several hours I have gained so much respect for those who have to endure this on a daily basis. This experience has most definitely made me count my blessings.

Dustin,
ReplyDeleteI just reached the 12 hour point into my fast and I'm now experiencing a few of the same things that you have encountered. I tried to start my fast early in the a.m. so that I would be distracted by work and class during the day. All throughout the day I've had random cravings especially at work. I don't know if I'm actually as hungry as I believe myself to be or if the idea of not being able to eat just makes me want to eat. This challenge is teaching me that when you have an empty stomach, your main concern is filling that void. I'm right along with you with you on counting the blessings. It's amazing the things we easily take for granted. I wish you the best on the rest of your fast!
