Halfway point of $2 Per Day Food Challenge - Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013

Right now I have really begun to understand what living on $2 a day is like. You don't always get your breakfast, lunch, and dinner like most Americans and other people in other countries do. I have had Ramen Noodles, crackers, bread, but that is not part of my daily consumption of food. Usually it is breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then snacking heavily in between all of those. That would add up to probably a week's worth of food to some people in these impoverished countries. I feel for the families who have to try and feed all of them on $2 a day. It is tough for me, and thats a single person.  A family of more than 4 or so would be so hard to do, but some have to and manage. This project is giving me a new found respect for all that we as Americans have and to never take another meal for granted. This is a real situation in a lot of countries, only have $2 a day for food. That doesn't buy much, and compared to how much we pay for food on a daily basis, we need to be very thankful.
